Peter Hutter is an audiovisual artist based in Graz, Austria. He works with time-based and generative media across performance, installation, and interdisciplinary projects. His artistic practice explores the formation and dissolution of structures and the interplay between contrasting elements. Since 2012, he has worked on a wide range of video and animation projects, video installations, interactive audiovisual works, and electronic music, as well as performing as a VJ. In recent years, his practice has increasingly focused on audiovisual live performance. In 2024, he presented the immersive live performance Symptoms, a spatial composition of sound and visuals at Dom im Berg in Graz, followed in 2025 by MUTO, a real-time generative audiovisual installation at Amalgam as part of the partner programme of steirischer herbst ’25.
